In December 2013 the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow, established the Digital Democracy Commission in order to engage young people with technology, and democracy. Last week, the University of East Anglia held a digital democracy event giving young people the opportunity to come up with ideas of how technology could make politics more accessible.
